1930 US Census - William Roosevelt Olson

I'm pretty sure this is the 1930 US Census for Mari and Ole Finnestad's grandson, William Roosevelt Olson. If I'm correct, William was living in Minneapolis, employed as a cloth cutter for an underwear company.    William was born in February 10, 1901 in Cylinder, Iowa.  He would have been 29 at the time the census was taken in April of 1930.   Both his parents were born in Norway, so everything seems to match.   If the middle initial were more legible, I would be 100% certain it is his census. The rest of his siblings are accounted for here , here and here .  Since the post of the 1930 US Census for Mary Olson, I figured out that Ann (Bell) was Stanley's wife and not the wife of William.

Timothy Skog - Obituary

Here is the obituary for Mari and Ole Finnestad's great great great grandson, Timothy Skog. Timothy was the grandson of Maine (Olson) and Clarence Cannon, the great grandson of Mary (Knutson) and Stephen Olson, and great great grandson of Elizabeth (Olsdatter Finnestad) and Ole Andreas Knutson.

Orville Ilin Olson - WW II draft registration

Here is the World War II draft registration for Ole and Mari Finnestad's grandson, Orville Ilin Olson. This registration was completed April 25, 1942.   Orville had moved from Rochelle, Illinois to the state of Washington sometime after the 1930 US Census. Orville was the eldest child of Mary (Knutson) Olson and Stephen Olson.

Mary Elizabeth (Knutson) Olson - obituary

Here is the obituary* for Ole and Mari Finnestad's granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth (Knutson) Olson. Mary was born in Stavanger, Norway on May 16, 1867 as Maria Berthea Knutson .  Her parents were Elizabeth (Olsdatter Finnestad) Knutson and Ole Andreas Knutson. Unfortunately the obituary did not mention Mary's siblings; I am still missing one of the ten children born to Elizabeth and Ole Knutson. *Thank you to the Rochelle Flagg public library for providing this obituary from their archives.
